We (“Metaverse Technology Pvt. Ltd.” or “Quriverse”) recognize that your privacy is very important and take it seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share, disclose and retain information when you use our website located at: https://quriverse.com/ (the “Platform”) References to “We”, “Our”, “Us”, or “Company” shall mean the Platform and/or Metaverse Technology Pvt. Ltd. Any references to “You”, “Your”, or “User” shall mean any person or entity using our Platform. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
All statements in this Privacy Policy apply to all Users, and all users are required to read and understand this Privacy Policy before using the Platform and/or providing Information to the Platform. This Privacy Policy shall be treated as a part of and is to be read with the Quriverse Terms of Use and Quriverse Cookie Policy.

We do not represent that we are compliant with laws of any country apart from the Republic of India. If you wish to use our Services, please ensure that you are permitted to do so, in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform or by otherwise giving us your information, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms, practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy. You hereby consent to our collection, use, sharing and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. The Platform reserves the right to change, modify, add or delete portions of this Privacy Policy, at its sole discretion, at any time. Please read this Privacy Policy in its entirety. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy at any time, you are not authorized to use the Platform, and you must not provide us with any of your information. If you use the Platform on behalf of another individual or entity, you represent to us that you are authorized by such individual or entity to accept this Privacy Policy on such individual's or entity's behalf and consent on behalf of such individual or entity to our collection, use and disclosure of such individual's or entity's information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you provide to us

Account information:

When you create a Quriverse account, you can come up with a username and password and provide a way of contacting you (such as an email address and/or phone number). You'll also need to provide your birthday & gender identity. In some cases, you may be required to verify your account. You may also have the option to add your name

Content you submit:

We collect the content you submit to the Services. This includes your post and comments, including saved drafts, audio and videos you broadcast, your messages with other users (e.g., DM, public group & private group), and your reports and other communications with moderators and with us. Your content may include text, links, images, GIFs, audio, and videos

Actions you take:

We collect information about the actions you take when using the Services. This includes your interactions with content, like, saving, and reporting. It also includes your interactions with other users, such as following, blocking and kicking. We collect your interactions with communities, like control members (moderator, admin)

Information used to enable optional features:

Certain features, like contact syncing, may require that you provide additional information (or grant us access to such information) to make them work. This also includes third-party integrations you choose to enable and the data you authorize those third-party services to share with us. For example, when you log in via a Google account, we may collect information about that account, such as email address, name, and profile picture (if you have chosen to do so).

Other information you provide directly to us:

You may have the option to submit additional information as you use Quriverse. For example, you may choose to participate in our verified creator program, which requires providing additional information about yourself. Or, you may participate in surveys where you can give feedback on the services or submit information to our Quriverse Support teams.

Information we collect automatically

We also collect information automatically from you when you use Quriverse. This includes:

Information about your device:

We collect information about the device you are using to access the services. For example, this includes information like your IP address, operating system information, browser information, and information about your device settings, such as your microphone and/or camera.

Information about your use of the apps or websites:

For example, we collect log and event information related to how and when you use our services (such as the pages, communities, and account you visit, the activities you engage in, or the embedded content you interact with).

Other information that we collect automatically:

When you take certain actions on other sites, we may receive information about you. For example, when we advertise for Quriverse on third-party platforms, if you click on the ad, we may receive information about which ad you saw and on which Platform. Similarly, we may also receive certain information when you click on a referral link, such as which website you came from. We may also receive information from cookies (small text files placed on your computer or device) and similar technologies. First-party cookies are placed by us (and our third-party service providers), allowing you to use the services and help us analyze and improve your experience and the services. Our Privacy Policy must be read along with our Cookie Policy.

Information we receive from other sources

We may receive information about you from other sources, including from other users and third parties, and combine that information with the other information we have about you. For example, if you interact with our social media account on another platform, we may receive certain information about you like your username on that Platform

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information about you to:
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Personalize services, content, and features that match your activities, preferences, and settings.
  • Help protect the safety of quriverse and our users, which includes blocking suspected spammers, addressing abuse, and enforcing the Quriverse Terms of Use agreement and our other policies
  • Provide, optimize, target, and measure the effectiveness of our Services;
  • Research and develop new services;
  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, invoices, and other support and administrative messages;
  • Provide customer service;
  • Communicate with you about products, services, offers, promotions, and events, and provide other news and information we think will be of interest to you and
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Public content, i.e., any content you post on your user profile or another user's profile, such as a post comment, is accessible to everyone, including search engines. Any information you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Platform, including your profile page information, is accessible to anyone. When you submit, post or share the content that you choose to make public on the Platform, it may be re-shared by others. You should consider who you choose to share it with because people who can see your activity on our Platform can choose to share it with others on and off our Platform, including people outside the audience you shared it with. For example, when you share a post or send a message to specific users of our Platform or accounts, they can download or re-share that content with other users across or off our Platform. Also, when you comment on someone else's post or like their content, your comment or like is visible to anyone who can see the other person's content. We reserve the right to share all public content on any social media site or online or offline forum. We will never rent or sell your Personal Information, i.e., any information that could be used to identify you, to third parties, except on an anonymized basis, unless expressly provided by us in our Terms of Use or in this Privacy Policy.
However, we may share your information (including Personal information) with select third parties including Government bodies or law enforcement agencies, if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to share your personal data or information to comply with any legal obligation or any government request; or to protect the rights or prevent any harm to the property or safety of the Platform, our customers, or public; or to detect, prevent or otherwise address public safety, fraud, security or technical issues.
We may also disclose your information (including Personal information) to select third parties in the following circumstances:
  • If the Platform or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets such that your information would be transferred or become subject to a different Privacy Policy, we will notify you in advance so you can opt out of any such new policy by deleting your account before transfer.
  • In order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and/or any other agreements

SECURITY PRACTICES

We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to secure the information collected by us. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a username and password which enables you to access the Platform, you are responsible for keeping these details confidential.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We store your data with Amazon Web Services cloud platform provided by Amazon Web Services, Inc. and also on Firebase Database on their servers. Both Amazon Web Services and Firebase implement security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information, details of which are available at https://aws.amazon.comand https://firebase.google.com/docs/database . The privacy policies adopted by Amazon Web Services and Firebase are available at https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/?nc1=f_pr and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy .

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

From time to time, we may amend or update this Privacy Policy. If this Privacy Policy changes in any way, we will post an updated version on the Platform. We recommend you regularly review the Platform to ensure you are always aware of our practices and any changes. Any changes to this Policy will be effective upon posting to the Platform. Your consent to the updated Privacy Policy shall be assumed by Your continued use of the Platform.

YOUR RIGHTS

You are free to remove or delete content from your user account/profile and your account/ profile at any time. However, the history of your activities and your account on our Platform remains available to us. You may correct, amend, add or delete Personal Information from your account anytime by logging in and visiting your profile page. As noted above, you may opt out of unwanted email communications from us by following the instructions in the message. However, until your account is deleted, you will continue to receive all system emails. You also have a right to ask us to review, correct and amend the information we collect about you at any time. And you also have the right to revoke your consent to collecting your information going forward. However, please note that revoking your consent may negatively affect your use of the Platform. For instance, we need access to your device's media folder to share any media from your device and post them on the Platform, which functionality will not be available to you if you do not provide us such access. You can exercise any of these rights anytime by contacting us at: grievance@quriverse.com . However, we require a reasonable period of 15 (fifteen) days to comply with any of your requests

DATA RETENTION

We do not retain your Sensitive Personal Information (defined below in this paragraph) for longer than is required for the purposes for which the information may be lawfully used. For any other content, we will entertain your deletion request. However, there is a strong possibility that copies of any public content will be retained indefinitely in our systems, including in cached and archived pages of the Platform, or if other users have copied or saved that information. In addition, due to the nature of the internet, copies of your content, including content that you have removed or deleted from your account, may also exist elsewhere on the internet and be retained indefinitely. In any case, an information collected from a user for registration on the computer resource, shall be retained for a period of one hundred and eighty days after any cancellation or withdrawal of his registration, as the case may be.
“Sensitive Personal Information“ shall mean passwords and any other information that is classified as sensitive under Section 3 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, Affiliates and/or any other websites or mobile applications. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before submitting personal data to these websites or mobile applications.

THIRD-PARTY EMBEDS

Some of the content that you see displayed on the Platform is not hosted by the Platform. These “embeds“ are hosted by third parties and embedded in the Platform. For example, YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy GIFs, SoundCloud audio files, Twitter tweets, or Scribd documents that appear within a post on the Platform. These files send data to the hosted site as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a Platform post page with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity).
The Platform does not control what data third-party embeds collect or what they will do with it. So, this Privacy Policy does not cover third-party embeds on the Platform. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.
Some embeds may even ask you for Personal Information, such as your email address, through a form. We do our best to keep bad actors off the Platform. However, if you choose to submit your information to a third party this way, we do not know what they may do with it. As explained above, their actions are not covered by this Privacy Policy. So, please be careful when you see embedded forms on the Platform asking for your email address or any other Personal Information. Make sure you understand to who you are submitting your information and what they say they plan to do with it. We suggest you do not submit Personal Information to any third party through an embedded form.
When you create your own third-party embeds that allow the submission of Personal information by users, you must provide near the embedded form a prominent link to an applicable Privacy Policy that clearly states how you intend to use any information collected. Failure to do so may lead the Company to disable the post or take other actions to limit or disable your account.

COMMUNICATIONS FROM US

We may occasionally send you service-related announcements when we consider them necessary (such as when we temporarily suspend the Platform for maintenance, security, privacy, or administrative-related communications). We send these to you via SMS and/or email. You may not opt out of these service-related announcements, which are not promotional and used solely to protect your account and keep you informed of important changes to the Platform.

GRIEVANCE OFFICER

Quriverse has a Grievance Officer to address your data safety, privacy, and Platform usage concerns. We will acknowledge the issue within 24 (twenty-four) hours and resolve it within 15 (fifteen) days of receiving them. You may contact our Grievance Officer at email: grievance@quriverse.com
