WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files containing characters that can be placed on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identifies your browser or device. We may use technologies like cookies, IndexedDB, and local storage to deliver, secure, and understand products and services.
WHAT ARE COOKIES USED FOR?
Cookies and other technologies allow a site or service to know if your computer or device has visited it before. These technologies can then be used to deliver products and services, and help us understand how the site or service is being used, help you navigate between pages efficiently, help us remember your preferences, and improve your experience using our services. Cookies can also help ensure the content you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
Two types of cookies may be used on our Platform- “session cookies”and “persistent cookies”. Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain on your device until you leave our Platform. A persistent cookie remains on your device for much longer or until you manually delete it (how long the cookie remains on your device will depend on the duration or “lifetime” of the specific cookie and your app settings).
Some pages you visit may use IndexedDB. An IndexedDB is a client-side storage technology used in web applications to store structured data on the user's local device, such as a computer or mobile device. IndexedDB may be used to store data that needs to be available offline, such as cached files, web application data, and user preferences. It can also be used to store data that is too large to be stored in cookies or local storage.
HOW LONG WILL COOKIES STAY ON MY DEVICE?
The time a cookie stays on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies will only stay on your device until you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your computer or mobile device until they expire or are deleted.
First-party cookies are placed by us (and our third-party service providers), allowing you to use the services and help us analyze and improve your experience and the services. Our cookies may be divided into the following types:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are required for services to function and to meet our legal obligations. If you try to use tools to disable these cookies, parts of the services may not work properly.
These help us provide enhanced functionality on the services like remembering language preferences. Disabling these could affect some service functionality.
These allow us or our third-party analytics providers to learn how you and others use and engage with the services so we can understand and improve them.
HOW CAN I CONTROL COOKIES?
Most internet browsers are initially set up to automatically accept cookies. You can change the settings to block cookies or alert you when cookies are sent to your device. However, if you disable the cookies we use, this may impact your experience while on the Platform, for example, you may not be able to visit certain areas of our Platform, or you may not receive personalized information when you visit our Platform. If you use different devices to view and access the Platform (e.g., your computer, smartphone, tablet etc.), you must ensure that each browser on each device is adjusted to suit your cookie preferences. As a user, it is your responsibility to handle your cookies with care and avoid sharing them with anyone as this could potentially compromise the security of your account.
COOKIES THAT HAVE BEEN SET IN THE PAST
If you have disabled one or more cookies, we may still use information collected from cookies prior to your disabled preference being set. However, we will stop using the disabled cookie to collect any further information.
